Hailo helps London’s Sick Children get to Hospital

Hailo Taxi AppHaving already established itself as an urban companion in key cities around the world, free taxi hailing app Hailo has teamed with Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity in an attempt to raise £10,000 to fund one year of hospital transport for London’s terminally ill children.

The campaign will run from the 1st to the 10th of October, encouraging those who download the Hailo app to register their details, insert the promotional code ‘RAINBOW’ and then receive £2 off their next taxi fare – so the public will benefit whilst simultaneously helping the fundraising initiative. For every journey booked through Hailo during the campaign dates, the company will donate money towards the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

As Hailo co-founder and with over 20 years of experience as a London taxi driver, Russell Hall said: “We are very pleased to be able to help a charity as worthy as Rainbow Trust. Anyone who is a parent knows that seeing their child suffer is one of the most difficult things in life to cope with. The emotional and practical support Rainbow Trust provides to these families is immeasurable.”

Rainbow Trust CEO, Heather Wood, also expressed her delight over the collaboration, saying that: “£10,000 worth of taxi transport will make a huge difference to our families, as important hospital appointments are stressful enough, without the added difficulty of taking public transport with a seriously ill child.”
