London Takeaways Target Taxi Travellers

After a tiring day’s shop, or a long night out, the last thing anyone wants to do is spend any time preparing a meal; if only, you think to your weary self, someone could simply hand me delicious food cooked to some kind of perfection? Online takeaway ordering service Just-Eat know this all too well, and are targeting the starving taxi-hordes of London with a new campaign.
Just Eat's in-taxi app
Featuring NFC tags inside, which allow the passenger to quickly and easily download the Just-Eat app to their smart device, the 100 branded taxis in the capital also offer a chance to win free takeaways by tweeting their best excuses for not cooking using, of course, the hashtag #notcooking.  A £25 voucher is available to the best entries, not  a bad incentive for spreading the word. The receipts from these taxis also offer discounts redeemable on the Just-Eat site.
UK Head of Brand at Just-Eat, Victoria Bloom, commented:
“This campaign is a great way to engage with hungry Londoners on their way home. Just as you’re thinking what to have for dinner, you can jump in a JUST EAT cab and order a takeaway treat so easily and quickly that it could be waiting for you when you arrive. The campaign we are running with Ubiquitous with NFC enabled taxis supports our key message – to maximise customer convenience and enhance the takeaway experience.”
