Altrincham Station

The town of Altrincham lies within the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford and is part of the Greater Manchester county.  Just a few miles south of central Manchester, there is plenty of leisure and business offerings across the area, meaning that a consistent crowd of commuters use the station on a daily basis.

Altrincham has plenty to offer, and with Cheshire and Dunham Massey on the doorstep it is also an ideal base for outdoor activities, offering everything from fitness boot camps to bird watching.

Altrincham has always had a particular stream of visitors thanks to its regional reputation as the home of its own ice rink. The original Altrincham Ice Rink was replaced in 2007 by the new Silver Blades Ice Rink, which is a full size ice pad in a brand new building – the first in the UK to have a full wooden structure and which brings many skaters to the area.

The station is managed by Northern Rail and runs services to Chester and Manchester. Altrincham is also the final stop on the Manchester Metrolink system, which operates trams from the mainline train station into central Manchester and through to Bury, Ashton and Rochdale.

Available advertising formats through Transport Media are 4 sheet and 6 sheet billboards in addition to train car panels at Altrincham station. We also offer rail advertising across all stations in the UK.
